Blog Word Scavenger Hunt

Everybody needs it! Very few seeem to have it. Let's see what the Word says about this precious commodity. Here are a few scriptures. Find what word they have in common: "The way of peace
they do not know" (Isa. 59:8). "For he himself is our peace." (Eph. 2:14.) "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you..." (John 14:27). The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Rom. 14:17). This word can be found as one of the fruit of the Spirit in Gal. 5:22.

Ryan is Baptized!

The greatest joy a mother can have is when her children accept Jesus as their Savior! Ryan is only 5 years old but is very spiritually mature. It is amazing how much the Lord speaks to me through my children. He has a hunger for God's Word like I have never seen. Often when we put him to bed, he sneaks out and sits by his bathroom doorway light to read the Bible. In April, Ryan asked the Lord to come into is heart and has been asking to be baptized, no begging to be baptized for months. As his parents we wanted to make sure he really understood what he was doing. As you can see from his grin on the video (from ear to ear) he was thrilled to be baptized. I really believe Ryan will make an impact on the kingdom of God and it is a joy to be his mommy. Mark 10:15 (Amplified Bible) "Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive and accept and welcome the kingdom of God like a little child [does] positively shall not enter it at all. May we all have child like faith in 2010!

Happy New Year!! This week, I've been prayerfully considering New Year's Resolutions. Have you? I don't normally do this because ...well, it's kind of a long story.

Anyhoo, after all that happened, the good, the bad, & the ugly in '09, I felt compelled to make an intentional set of rules for 2010.

1. I am going to continue to make time to take good care of my spirit, my mind, my heart, & my body. If I don't, I'll miss out on much of what life is all about: relationships. I want to offer my best--Christ fully in me--to others.
2. I'm going to be very careful who I allow to speak into my life. With so many opinions & so many beliefs out there, I want to be careful to allow the Holy Spirit to guide me to the people I need to allow to be teachers, mentors, close friends, & advisors.
3. I want to embrace the moment more & be fully present in them. I don't want to be regretting the past or fantasizing about an unknown future. God is "I AM" & is fully present here & now. I want to join Him here & allow Him to live His life through me to love others more recklessly & selflessly.

How about you? We'd love to hear from you & learn from you. Perhaps we can even link arms to pray for one another in the areas we desire to see God work in & through us.

Happy New Year!!
