Summer fun!
Well, girls, we tried. The weather just didn't cooperate with us for some reason for our "Picnic in the Park." It's hard to complain, though. I've lived in GA long enough to have experienced many years of drought, so when the rain falls, I don't get too upset about it. I hate that it messed up our fun night out together, though. I'm glad those of us who braved the storm warnings got there and got back home safely.
For our next event, we are planning an INDOOR C4C night out! Plans are being finalized now, but mark your calendars for JULY 20th! Check back regularly (and if you "follow" the blog, you'll get emails anytime we post an update) to get all the nitty-gritty details of what's coming next! August 17th will be our final Summer event before we get things started back in full swing for our fall series beginning on September 28th.

The Life and Faith Atlanta concert will be July 24, 2010 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. You can bet it will be hot - but what better way to celebrate summer than with your favorite Christian musicians? (Like Mercy Me, Amy Grant, Aaron Shust, and more!!) Sing along to songs you know by heart and learn some new ones. Enjoy the fellowship of thousands of Christian music fans just like you. Laugh it up while listening to Christian comedians Jeff Allen and Larry Weaver. Celebrate life and faith - while having fun with your friends!

CHILDREN TICKETS (AGES 6 AND UNDER): FREE
When you order your tickets, you will be given the opportunity to choose a "beneficiary" who will receive $10 of every online adult ticket purchased. Church 4 Chicks is one of the beneficiaries!
Please help us spread the word about this great way to raise funds for the ministry while getting in on an awesome event!!

To answer some of your questions...
1. There is NO COST for the picnic in the park--this is a FREE event. :-)
2. RSVP's are not necessary, but would be helpful. Just shoot us an email at info@church4chicks.com
3. This is a family friendly event, so feel free to bring whoever you want. The more, the merrier.
4. Please bring enough food for your family/guests. We won't be providing any food or beverages, so just pack a picnic for your group and head on over.
5. What if it rains? If it's a light rain, come on out to the park. If it's a torrential downpour with lightning and thunder, head on over to Cumberland Community Church and we'll have our picnic indoors. :-)
6. Don't forget bug spray and sun screen.

Picnic in the Park with the Chicks!
Hey everyone!
This month is already flying by! It often feels as though someone has wound all the clocks up so they're running faster and faster...so much to do, so little time. It's important that we be intentional for those things that are most important in life, y'know? One way we want to do that at C4C is by hosting "That Time of the Month" events in our off-season. A time of the month we can actually look forward to! :-) This month, on June 15th, we'll be heading to Terrell Mill Park for a fun evening in the sun (hopefully!) together. More info is below, and if by some chance it rains, we'll meet at Cumberland Community Church and have our picnic indoors.

Picnic in the Park!
Hey "Chicks!"
June 15th is the date, so mark it down, and plan on hanging out for some sun (we hope!) and some fun (we KNOW!).
We will get the details on park, and rain location, ASAP. Still working out some of that info, but plan for 6:30 to ??? With the other chicks, and feel free to bring your kiddos!
What you'll need to bring:
Food/drinks for you and your guests
Outdoor games, kites, etc. if you'd like
sunscreen, bug spray
I miss you all already, and I can't wait for some fun hang-out time with you where we can get to know one another better! Don't miss out on all the fun!
