Our Team C4C Writers and Contributors

We are so super duper excited to add a new element to this ministry as we seek to help as many women live with purpose (without the pressure that typically accompanies this kind of lifestyle) as possible. With this in mind, Team C4C has added a powerful dynamic to what we can offer you on a regular and on-going basis. It is our hope, our prayer, our desire and our expectation that this is going to become a great resource for your personal growth in grace within the context of you relationship with God, yourself and others.

C4C's Founder, Shelley Hendrix.

Shelley is a wife and mom who also gets to host a Christian Talk Show on Atlanta's WATC 57, write books for Harvest House Publishers, and share the message of grace and new identity with folks all over the US and abroad through conferences, media appearances and more.

Deborah Lenderman is currently serving as the Director of Operations for Church 4 Chicks.   Deborah served as a Partner and Executive Vice President of a successful international recycling company for 15 years.  She attends Tapestry Community Church in Roswell, Georgia  and serves as one of the worship leaders in the music ministry.  She is married to Ron, they have three children, one “son-in-love” and soon to be blessed with the first of hopefully many grandchildren!

Lucille Zimmerman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a private practice in Littleton, CO. An affiliate faculty member at Colorado Christian University, Lucille is also a member of the Columbine High School community and was thrust into a bed of hurting people after the shootings in April of 1999. Before earning her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Lucille was part of a team of counselors providing aid at Ground Zero following the events of 9/11. And under the umbrella of Billy Graham’s Prayer Center, she ministered to the uniformed officers in New York City. Lucille lives in Colorado with her husband and two adult children.

Lori Kennedy has been married to Danny for over 21 years. God has blessed them with two wonderful sons who love the Lord.  Lori is the Worship Director for Church 4 Chicks coordinating our worship teams and guest leaders in addition to leading worship herself and is a member at First Baptist Church in Woodstock. She is also a member of COGBE (Conference of Georgia Baptist Evangelists).   In addition, Lori speaks and leads worship throughout the US and abroad. Most recently her program, "Overcoming - Fulfilling Your God Given Destiny" has reached as far as Romania.  Lori has led a mission team to The Deborah House in Romania out of her home church.  She is also a local street team and volunteer coordinator for Premier Productions in Atlanta and she has been involved in multiple youth events promoting the leadership and purity of our young people.

Cheryl Laurenza 

Cheryl is a Therapist in Roswell, Ga formerly on staff at First Baptist Woodstock as such. Originally from New England, she and husband Jeff of 27 years, 2 cats and a dog live in Woodstock, Ga. "My daughter and son in law, granddaughter, grandson, and grandog as well as rest of the family still reside in Massachusetts, but we get to see them quite a bit. My heart's desire and calling has been to be used to bring healing and restoration to those walking in darkness and bondage and I have been blessed to have been able to have experienced that in my own life earlier and to be poured out into others today. We recently made an agonizing decision for me to leave FBCW Counseling in order to start a private practice as the leading was clear. I believed God to have been asking me to let go and allow Him to move me into a different role, yet the sense of security and fellowship was hard to disconnect from. We are on a journey now and excited and look forward to what lies ahead. Shelley and others have also served as examples of what following into unknown territory looks like."

Tracee Persiko

Tracee is a counselor, speaker, world traveler, and cross-cultural coach residing in Nashville. She cares deeply about the heart and story of other people. When it comes to areas of passion, Tracee enjoys speaking on topics including: leadership development, cultivating character, second mile living, identity in Christ, carrying the weight of your influence well, and empowering others to believe different and live different. She is also a contributing author for the book Inciting Incidents.

Her bucket list is filled with the crossed off adventures of swimming with Great White sharks, skydiving, and the hopes of bungee jumping.  She writes through her experiences of brokenness and battles with lifelong grief. She is passionate about loving deeply and helping others journey through the hard parts of their stories to experience the true Healer.

Melissa Haas

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Educationfrom East 

Texas Baptist University in 1991. She joined The HopeQuest 

Ministry Group, Inc. in January of 2001 to help formulate the

 ministry program for female spouses who have experienced 

difficulties related to their husbands infidelity or sexual sin.

In addition to her work with The HopeQuest Ministry Group, Inc., Melissa works with the 

City of Refuge restoration ministry program to provide healing to wounded and/or fallen 

ministry leaders offered by the First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Georgia.

Debra Courtney

Debra served as the first operating director of C4C from 2007-2012, so she's been with the team since the beginning!

Her passion in life is ...

To see women globally gain wisdom, understanding of their personal identity & create their independence!

She does this through her coaching program and writing. 

Debra will be managing the C4C Blog as well as contributing as a writer.

Amelia Grace,

Amelia is an up and coming photographer located in Atlanta, GA and

 has been a part of C4C since its inception, since she also happens to be 

Shelley's oldest child. Amelia attends Watermarke Church and serves 

on the Guest Services Team with her family. 

Amelia, in her own words, "I'm Amelia Grace Pound and I am the artist 

and owner of Amelia Grace Photography, I offer many services through my business. I'm so

 thankful that Church 4 Chicks has given me the opportunity to use my creative skills by 

allowing me to be the Church 4 Chicks photographer. My main role at Church 4 Chicks

 though is to decorate and create a welcoming atmosphere."
