Family Night? At "Church 4 Chicks?"

Yep! That's right, we are hosting a ONE TIME only Family Night on August 4th with special guest, Magician Curt Anderson. Some of the ladies have asked, "Why are we inviting guys to Church for CHICKS?" so I wanted to answer that question.

1. Our August 4th event will be a fundraiser to help us raise money to offset costs involved in the ministry. Opening it up to families provides a way to raise more funds more effectively.

2. Many of us have husbands who are curious about the whole "Church 4 Chicks" thing and we want to give them at least a small idea of what we're about.

3. Opening it up like this will give area pastors an opportunity to find out more about this ministry that can be a resource for the women in their congregations and communities. What better way than to give them a chance to visit one of our events?

4. Church 4 Chicks wants to be a place that helps women build relationships, so we wanted to give ladies the opportunity to meet one another's families during the dessert/coffee social that evening.

I hope this clears up any confusion. When we start back on September 29 with our fall session, it'll be back to NO BOYS ALLOWED! ;-) But for August 4, I hope you'll invite everyone to join you for an event you won't soon forget. It's going to be incredible!!

Blessings!!
Shelley

  1. Hi everyone

We had a planning meeting last night and the August Event is going to be so much fun! Curt is an Illusionist who made a car disappear - so its definitely not going to be boring.

And I won't share what the desserts are going to be.... but everyone will leave happy.

  3. Hey Chicks~
Hope to see you on August 4th. A great night is planned for the entire family with Curt Anderson, an illusionist and wonderful music from Cumberland's praise band. This will be an excellent fundraiser in addition to reaching ladies in our community. Start spreading the word to your family, friends and co-workers.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for September 29th for the beginning of the fall session. Please be in prayer as planning for the session is already in progress.

    Have a blessed summer!

  5. Hello girls ~

Take a few minutes and read an article that talks about some really special women that minister to single moms. What a servants heart ... and it is none other than our very own Nancy Tucker. Nancy is the one that stays in a little room at Cumberland Community Church on Tuesday nights and operates the slides during Shelley's teaching.

    Thank you Nancy!
    Hey Chicks~

Copy and past the link below into the address bar to read an article that features our very own Nancy Tucker. For those of you that are not familiar with Nancy, she puts together and operates the slides each week during our teaching. She clearly has a servants heart - not just for us girls at Church 4 Chicks but as you'll read in the article, for single moms too!

Thank you Nancy for all you do!

  6. I just want Shelley Hendix to know that I appreciate her hosting Atlanta Live. A few times I have heard her say that she was so tired after a busy day, that she didn't know if she had the strength to volunteer at TY 57 that nite and she prayed in traffic for energy. I just want her to know that I appreciate her volunteering for the show. :)
