A little sneak peek into tonight's Church 4 Chicks...

Sometimes I go through a season that can only be described as "indescribable." Sometimes it's a season where I'm overwhelmed by God's grace and goodness and provision. Other times, the season is one of pain, struggle, and uncertainty. Most of life seems to be a bit of a combination of it all, but there are definitely those times when one kind of season seems to outweigh the other.

Everywhere I turn lately there is one story after another of loss, pain, trial, uncertainty, and indecision. It's in times like these that we find out who our friends really are and how faithful our God truly is. It's often a season of "pruning" where we begin to recognize what is most important in life and what we truly believe.

And, wherever there is pruning, God also brings healing:

"To heal is to let the Holy Spirit call me to dance, to believe again, even amid my pain, that God will orchestrate & guide my life." Henri Nouwen

In tonight's message, I'll be focusing on God's Faithfulness in our Storms. I hope everyone who is able to come will be with us. Some may not be in a stormy season right now, and sometimes when that happens, we think a message like this isn't for us--but what I've found is that oftentimes, we make great cheerleaders and comforters to those who need the fresh reminder that God is good and does good. Sometimes we need to hear someone else's voice remind us of the truth we know, but need to hear again. And sometimes, we need to be reminded of the truth before heading into one of life's storms ourselves.

Whether you can join us this evening or not, will you please join us in prayer? Unless God shows up, and has freedom to do this His way, we are all just wasting our time, our energy, and our resources. We are so grateful for any and all prayers lifted on behalf of this ministry. We need 'em, and we know it!!

May the grace of God fall all over you today in ways that cannot be denied!

In Him and For Him--Always,

Shelley & the C4C Team
