Lori Kennedy will be leading a main session with her testimony and music. Lori is a faithful member of Team C4C and also leads her personal ministry. She is one busy chick, and we are elated to have her in the line-up for this year's AWAKEN! 

Christian vocalist and speaker Lori Kennedy believes in sharing the gifts and talents in which Christ has blessed her. Authenticity, transparency, and vulnerability are imperative to touching hearts for the Lord. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse from those in authority over her outside of her family of origin, Lori has had to overcome much to fulfill the destiny that God created just for her!  As God continues to work in Lori's life, her ministry continues to move and grow in multiple areas. Originally, her ministry was focused solely on music. However, God has also called into speaking in conjunction with the leading worship and using the musical gifts in which God has blessed her.  Lori is inspired by God's grace and love everyday and this is reflected in her songwriting and music. As a singer and worship leader, Lori's aspiration is to encourage and lead others to the throne of Grace through her music and ministry. Lori reaches out to others through her inspirational songs and speaking engagements. Her song "Healing Tears" from her most recently released project was nominated one of the top ten songs of 2013 by CWIMA (Christian Women in Media Association).  Lori is actively involved as a worship leader and singer for church events and Christian retreats across the United States and has shared the stage with music legend Babbie Mason as well as author and speaker Shelley Hendrix and actress Shannen Fields (Facing the Giants).

Lori has been married to Danny for 22 years. God has blessed them with two wonderful sons who love the Lord.  Lori is a member at First Baptist Church in Woodstock and a member of COGBE (Conference of Georgia Baptist Evangelists).  Lori is the Worship Director for Church 4 Chicks.  In addition, Lori is involved in North Georgia Walk to Emmaus where she leads group worship regularly at retreats and special events. She was the worship leader for the 2010 Awaken conference, led worship for Cruise with a Cause in 2011, and taught a break-out session for Women In Worship at the Unlimited Worship Conference hosted by the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Her program, "Overcoming - Fulfilling Your God Given Destiny" has reached as far as Romania.  She has been the worship leader at women's retreats and conferences for churches and organizations across the country including Alabama, Tennessee, West Virginia, Kentucky and Alaska.  Lori has led a mission team to The Deborah House in Romania out of her home church. She recently wrote a 4-week life in Christ application study that she has taught at First Baptist Church in Woodstock. Lori is also a local street team and volunteer coordinator for Premier Productions in Atlanta and she has been involved in multiple youth events promoting the leadership and purity of our young people.
